The glory of rome is not forgotten
The Roman Empire had so many achievements that I can't name them all. One of the most important achievement to me is greater freedom for women. Another bright idea is the system of laws. It even influenced us to make our Declaration of Independence. Last but not least they introduced us to christianity.
Although Rome was a perfect empire they had some flaws that led to their fall; keep in mind though that the civil war is what destroyed them. Through my eyes political corruption was the worst. Who ever was the highest bidder became the emperor, so people were buying the throne, which is dreadful. During the civil war no one continued following the morals and values and the people started stealing. To add to that Rome also suffered A LOT of inflation, so things were rising in price.
Rome was such a extraordinary empire, that was defeated by power and darkness that no one could escape. Luckily the Romans have left us their legacy and mistakes to learn from. Hopefully their legacy stays with us for many generations to come. If I could go back in time to see Pax Romania (200 years of Roman peace) I would, to see the glory of Rome.
